RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a kind of computer data storage, which enables the data to be read randomly without accessing the preceding bytes before that. This makes the RAM a lot quicker than other kinds of storage devices like DVDs or HDDs where all of the information has to be read to be able to access certain information. When you have a shared hosting account, the amount of memory your web programs can use cannot be fixed and may frequently rely upon the free memory that's available on the physical web server. With a standalone server, however, there is always a minimum amount of physical memory that will be readily available at all times and will never be allotted to other clients even when it's not used. That's valid with our virtual and dedicated servers.
Guaranteed RAM in VPS Servers
If you decide to host your websites on a VPS server acquired from our company, the amount of RAM you will get with it shall be guaranteed and shall be available all of the time no matter what. The VPS accounts are created on powerful servers and when your virtual server is set up, the RAM memory that comes with the particular plan will be "locked", so even if you use a part of it at some time while another VPS account is using almost all of its resources, we shall not assign the free RAM from your account even briefly. This is valid when you upgrade the entire memory of the virtual server as well - the additional amount will be added to your current account completely. You will be able to upgrade either the whole plan or just the server’s RAM with only a few clicks in the billing CP.
Guaranteed RAM in Dedicated Servers
All our dedicated server plans feature a great deal of physical memory, that will enable you to run very heavy web apps with no issues. We use new and carefully tested hardware components when we set up a new server to make sure that there won't be any troubles of any kind. The RAM memory isn't an exception and if you obtain a dedicated server, we will ensure that you get the best overall performance possible from the configuration you have picked. Even if we find out that you are not using the full capacity of the web server, we shall not modify the hardware in any way, so the total amount of RAM which will be readily available shall always be the same. You can easily take a look at the configuration, including the physical memory, in your billing CP at any time.
